How it works:
1. Download and register the app for free
Register with our partner sharetoo Carsharing directly in the app and enter your driving licence and credit card. After successful registration and verification of your documents, your sharetoo Carsharing account will be activated.
If you have an Annual Pass or a Semester Pass from Wiener Linien or a KlimaTicket (Ă– or MetropolRegion), send a copy to support@sharetoo.at, after registration to enjoy 15 per cent cheaper fares.

2. Book a vehicle
Once your account has been activated, you can book your vehicle directly in the sharetoo app. Simply enter the desired start and end dates for your journey, select a vehicle and complete the booking.
3. Drive off
Now you can open your vehicle at the car sharing car park with the sharetoo app. Click on the current booking and unlock the vehicle directly in the app.

4. Load
How do I FIND a charging station?
With the Wien Energie charging card, which is available in every WienMobil car, you can charge at all BEÖ (Bundesverband Elektromobilität Österreich) charging stations. The available charging stations can be found in the Wien Energie charging station finder. Please note that the charging station is not a private charging station and that the charging connection is available at the vehicle. All WienMobil cars have "Type 2" and "CCS" charging connections.
How do I START the charging process?
- There is a Wien Energie CHARGING card in the glove compartment and a charging cable in the boot.
- First plug the thick end of the charging cable into the vehicle and the thin end into the charging station.
- Start the charging process by holding the charging card against the designated area or the RFID field on the charging station.
- Finally, check whether charging is taking place: The light next to the charging plug on the car lights up green and the vehicle cockpit displays the charge.
How do I END the charging process?
- To disconnect the charging cable, first unlock the vehicle with the app and then open the door.
- Disconnect the charging cable from the vehicle and then from the charging station.
- Put the charging cable back in the boot and stow the charging card in the holder in the glove compartment.
Good to know:
- For fast charging of electric cars, use a fast charging station (connection type: CCS). SMATRICS charging stations or the Wien Energie fast charging stations offer a fast charging function.
- Parking is free of charge during the charging process at e-charging stations in public spaces. However, the vehicle must be removed after charging.
- At low temperatures, the charging time may be longer and the range of vehicles shorter.
- Please note that charges that are not carried out with a charging card provided by sharetoo Carsharing and are paid for by the Carsharing user cannot be refunded.
- Please note the minimum charge level of 25%.
5. Return vehicle & finalise booking
After the journey, please return the vehicle clean to its original location. And the best thing is: Your reserved parking space saves you the hassle of searching for a parking space in the city. Please note the minimum charge level of 25%. Finish the reservation in the app - and you're done.
