U5 Frankhplatz

Vienna's first U5 station

The Frankhplatz station will be Vienna's first U5 station. In the first construction phase, the U5 will run to Frankhplatz station after branching off from the existing U2 tunnels at Rathaus station and being extended under Landesgerichtsstraße into the ninth district. In the second expansion phase, the line will be extended to Hernals.

Altes AKH will be connected to the underground railway; tram lines 43, 44, 37, 38, 40, 41 and 42 will be directly accessible

The station is accessible from all sides via four entrances. There is an entrance directly at Frankhplatz, which connects the Alte AKH directly to the underground network. From here you can then change directly to tram lines 43 and 44. From the Schwarzspanierstraße exit, it is only approx. 250 metres to tram lines 37, 38, 40, 41 and 42.
