Working conditions as a bus driver
We want to be honest: We demand a lot. But we also offer a lot. Our drivers take on a very responsible job that entails some special features:
- As a bus driver you are also on duty at night and on weekends.
- Irregular working hours: Your duties are scheduled in alternating shifts. There are also shifts that can be divided by a break of two and a half to four hours ("interruption shifts").
- Early start: As a driver, you often have to be at work before the start of regular transport operations. The first shifts of the early shift start at 04:30 in the morning. The advantage: In the afternoon you have more time for yourself and your hobbies.
- Duty at weekends, on public holidays and at night: Your working week extends over five days, followed by two days off. There are also night shifts (Nightline) as well as shifts on weekends and public holidays.
- Please note: After your training, you will work on Saturdays and Sundays for a longer period of time.
- Changing duty stations and always on the road: In principle, your duty station can be located anywhere in the city and can also change. The reason for this is that we have to allocate services according to need. When assigning duties, we make sure as much as possible that your place of residence is included in the schedule. Unfortunately, it is not always possible to take your wishes into account.
